3 months of daily rope skipping before and after: The story of Lisa
18/02/2025 by Nils Holten
I've tried so many things. Yoga, Pilates, jogging, swimming – but nothing really had a quick enough effect to keep me motivated. I kept feeling discouraged because progress was just too slow. I tried so many things, but the breakthrough just wouldn't come. With many of these sports, I always had to fixed times and places hold and then also train with other people who were already much fitter than me. This often demotivated me, and at some point I simply gave up.
But then I realized that I needed something different – something flexible, effective and, above all, something that would fun. That is exactly what I did in Jumping rope I first heard about Everjump from Kai Pflaume during his triathlon preparation and then again from the Lion's Den on VOX seen - said, done, that All-rounder set was ordered.
Month 1: Starting with the light 125-gram rope
At first, I didn't know how much I would enjoy it. But I wanted to at least give it a try. So I decided to start with the lightest rope, the 125-gram rope. Every day I jumped for exactly 15 minutes in my living room – it was my very own fitness highlight without having to leave the house.
The first few days were really tough. My legs burned, and I often wondered if I was really making progress. But then I noticed my endurance gradually increasing. I felt stronger and was able to do more jumps in a row. After just a few days I noticed a change – and that motivated me to keep going. I kept jumping, every day, and with each week I noticed my body changing.
Month 2: Progress with the 225-gram rope
By the second month, I felt ready to increase the difficulty. So I grabbed the 225-gram rope and started jumping for the next 15 minutes. It was noticeably harder, but it was exactly what I needed. I wanted to see progress—and that's what I got.
It was amazing how quickly my body adapted to the heavier rope. My legs became stronger, and my cardiovascular system improved dramatically. I could jump faster, the breaks between jumps became shorter, and most importantly, I felt the weight falling off. So much had changed in just one month—and that was even though I was only investing 15 minutes a day.
Month 3: The highlight with the 325-gram rope
By the third month, I was really proud of what I'd accomplished. So I reached for the heaviest rope, the 325-gram rope. It was truly challenging, but I knew it was the right step. I was now jumping for 15 minutes every day, and the progress was incredible. Not only was I able to increase my endurance, but my muscles were also becoming more defined.
What struck me most was how much fitter and stronger I felt. This daily routine had not only changed my appearance, but also my self-confidence and my energy. The difference between before and after was not only visible but also tangible.
The Evermat and Everjump app
There was, however, a small incident when, after three weeks of jumping rope, I received a complaint from my tenant below me. The noise from my jumps was probably a bit too much. But instead of letting that discourage me, I resorted to Evermat – a special pad that dampens noise while providing greater comfort. Since then, everything has been perfect!
What further boosted my motivation was the Everjump AppI was able to track my progress closely, and that helped me keep going. But what was really great was the Competition Mode the app. My best friend Jojo had also dedicated herself to jumping rope, and we could compare our progress. Whenever I was about to give up, I would glance at the app to see if Jojo had jumped yet. Her progress motivated me not to give up—in fact, it helped me push my own limits.
My conclusion: Flexibility, efficiency and fun
Today I can proudly say that the Jumping rope not only one of the most effective methods for weight loss and fitness, but also the one I enjoyed the most. It offered me flexibility – I wasn't tied to specific places or times. It was efficientbecause it delivered fast results and, above all, it was funnybecause I could do it anytime, anywhere.
I never thought that just 15 minutes of jumping rope a day would bring about so many changes in such a short time. Jumping rope changed my life – not only because it helped me lose weight, but also because I enjoyed taking care of myself again.
So if you're hesitant, just start! 15 minutes of jumping rope every day can change your life – and who knows, maybe in 3 months you will look back on your progress with as much pride as I am.
And don’t forget to document your progress for motivational reasons: the 30 minutes of exercise every day before and after Comparison is really great!
